A logo costs anywhere from $0 to well over $10,000 in 2026. Most small businesses pay between $300 and $2,000. AI generators and logo makers sit at the bottom, freelancers sit in the middle, and branding studios start around $3,000.
That range is useless without knowing what you get at each price. So here it is, broken down plainly.
These are current market ranges from ManyPixels' 2026 logo pricing guide, updated September 2026:
Freelancers split further. Entry level (under two years) is usually $300 to $500. Mid-level is $500 to $1,500. Experienced designers with five-plus years start around $1,500.
You get a file. Usually a template, or a remix of shapes and fonts thousands of other businesses can also pick. No research, no one checking if it looks like your competitor across the street, and usually no real vector files or rights you can defend.
Fine for testing an idea over a weekend. Not fine for a sign, a truck wrap or anything you'll print 5,000 of.
This is where most small businesses land, and it's a wide range for a reason. At $300 to $500 you usually get one to three concepts, a round or two of changes and a basic file pack. Closer to $1,500 to $2,000 you should get a proper brief, research, real revisions, full vector files and colour versions.
The risk here is inconsistency. Some freelancers are excellent. Some resell templates. Look at their portfolio for logos that are clearly built for one specific business.
Now you're paying for a system, not a single mark. Strategy, a logo suite (primary, secondary, icon), colour, type, and guidelines that tell everyone how to use it. This is the difference between a logo and a brand identity, and it's where the money goes.
Because the drawing is the smallest part of the job.
Most of the time goes into figuring out who you're for, what your competitors look like, and what will still read at 16 pixels wide on a phone and 16 feet wide on a building. Then testing it on the stuff you'll actually use: signs, packaging, social, uniforms.
For reference, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics puts median graphic designer pay at $30.27 an hour as of May 2025. A properly built logo suite is dozens of hours of work. The math adds up fast, and anyone quoting $50 is not spending those hours on you.
Depends what the logo has to carry.
Central Florida is crowded. The US Census Bureau counted 11,234 new business applications in Volusia County in 2025, up from 6,805 in 2019. Orange County had 49,392. That's a lot of new logos going up next to yours every year. A template doesn't stand out in that.
I don't bill hourly. Every project is fixed scope, agreed in writing before anything starts. My Brand Identity package is $1,200. You'll know the number before any work begins, and it doesn't change unless we agree on it in writing.

Most small businesses pay $300 to $2,000 for a logo in 2026. A full brand identity from a studio usually starts around $3,000.
Orlando and Central Florida prices track the national market: roughly $300 to $2,000 for freelancers and $3,000 and up for studios. My Brand Identity package is $1,200, fixed scope.
For testing an idea, maybe. For a real business, usually not. You're often buying a template other businesses can use too, with no research and limited rights.
You should. Get the transfer of rights in writing and make sure you receive full vector files (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF), not just a PNG.
My Brand Identity takes one to three weeks. Anything much faster usually skips research or testing.
